With many of the key ingredients in place, our focus over the next six months is student recruitment, both for the 2021-22 school year and the spring 2021 after-school program. Leading this effort, and ensuring that parents have a pleasant experience with the entire admissions and enrollment process before the first day of school, falls on the admissions and enrollment coordinator.

I am pleased to announce that we hired Myriah Bibian as our admissions and enrollment coordinator. As an educator, Myriah is passionate about providing students with the necessary skills and confidence to succeed on the paths they choose to follow. She communicates effectively with both families and students, and understands their needs – she’s just the right person to be the first point-of-contact for families. She has a BA in psychology and an MS in counseling and pupil personnel services, both from California Lutheran University. While studying for her degrees, she worked at Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families in various roles, including intake specialist, behavioral specialist, and youth development specialist.

Within days of starting, she has engaged her alma mater to find instructors and has built profiles of the school on various online school information sites. She is ideal for a startup: capable and ready to help in multiple areas. Over time, I am sure she will expand her role beyond her current title.
