GivingTuesday is an annual “global generosity movement” that started in 2012 with the intention of encouraging people to do good. For one day, communities are encouraged to give what they can – whether it be time, money, or any other act of kindness – to give back to their community and make it a better place. Organizations that participate in GivingTuesday include nonprofit organizations, small businesses, corporations, schools, and faith-based organizations, and any individual can get involved in supporting the cause that they want to support.  

Vidya Community High School is a 501c3 nonprofit, independent school that was founded with the intention of providing teens with the education they will need to be successful in the real world. If you have ever had the thought “why don’t they teach that in high school?” then you likely understand our cause. By covering the topics such as organizational skills and personal finance that other schools tend to miss, we hope to empower the next generation to choose a path that truly interests them – and prepare them for whatever path that may be, college, career or service.

By making a gift in this early stage of the life of Vidya Community School, you will become one of our Founding Benefactors. Your support will allow us to transform the leased space and hire critical staff as we prepare to welcome our first cohort of students in September 2021. You’ll empower families with the choice of an affordable, responsive, and transformational neighborhood high school and provide a framework for similar schools beyond these valleys. As a donor, you will receive timely quarterly reports  keeping you informed of how your contribution is being put to work.
