Mr. Meyyappan retired from his chemical engineering career that spanned over 35 years in the oil & gas industry. Most recently he was Vice President of Operations at a large, international, engineering consulting firm. But he is most proud of successfully putting his three daughters through the top colleges in the nation. For the past eight years, Mr. Meyyappan has been passing on those lessons learnt by mentoring 10+ high school kids a year through their college application process. He has served on the Board of the Hindu Temple of Kern County for over 14 years in various positions, including as President during 2016-17. Mr. Meyyappan holds chemical engineering degrees from University of Madras and Indian Institute of Technology at Madras. He is a long time resident of Bakersfield, CA.
