Mr. Ortega is a Project Business Manager at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. As such, he has overseen all financials and schedules of several flight projects at JPL, including Orbiting Carbon Observatory (OCO-3, ~$116 million budget); the Multi-Angle Imager for Aerosols (MAIA, ~$118 million); and Earth Surface Mineral Dust Source Investigation (EMIT, ~$75 million). Before JPL, he worked as program manager at Spirent Communications. In his free time, he has taught English as a Second Language for Meet Each Need With Dignity (MEND) and Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. He earned his B.A from California State University at Northridge in 2002. He now resides in Simi Valley.
